(Arnolds Park)-The Dickinson County Relay for Life is coming up in early September. KUOO’s Becky Thoreson has details:
The Dickinson County Relay for Life will be held September 6 in Arnolds Park.
Di Lorenzen with the Sponsorship Committee says, they are reaching out to survivors at this time. “We’re going to do it down here in Arnolds Park at Queen’s Court. We’ll have The Opening Ceremony at 5 o’clock, and we’ll have The Survivor’s Walk, so we’re looking for survivors. If you want to sign up ahead of time, that would be great so we can make sure that we’ve got a tee shirt for you and some information. We do have a little meal that’s provided by some great sponsors. So, we’d love to have our survivors down, and everyone to join us. If you just want to contribute to Relay for Life, you can come down the night of, or you can stop a Northwest Bank branch and drop off a donation , as well.”
She adds that they’re also seeking sponsors for the event. “We are getting excited, getting ready to get all of our sponsors confirmed. So, if you have anybody out there that would love to join us for being a sponsor for Relay for Life, we would love to have you. We just need to sponsors nailed down by August 23 so that we can get all of our sponsors printed on our banners and posters and things like that.”
