(Spencer)– Another Spencer business has been awarded assistance through the city’s Retail Kickstarter program. Mr. B’s Flooring will receive a loan to assist with an expansion project. The business has purchased a building at 1208 4th Avenue Southwest in Spencer and is in the process of renovating both the interior and exterior. Mr. B’s has been in business since 2014 and employs eight full-time employees and 12 installers.
The Retail Kickstarter program in Spencer started in 2018 to assist with recruitment and retention of businesses in the city. To date, the program has assisted nine businesses in Spencer.
The Retail Kickstarter program is a partnership involving the city of Spencer, Community State Bank, Farmers Bank, Spencer Main Street, Northwest Bank, Spencer Municipal Utilities, State Bank and the Spencer Chamber.
