(Spencer)– A Newell man faces charges for allegedly driving drunk with some kids in the vehicle. The Clay County Sheriff’s Office says 35-year-old Peter Wiebe was arrested this past Saturday during a traffic stop in the 5000 mile of Highway 71.
A deputy reported smelling alcohol coming from the vehicle as he approached it. Field sobriety tests were conducted, resulting in Wiebe being charged with operating while intoxicated…2nd offense, and two counts of child endangerment. He was booked into the Clay county jail.
