The Okoboji Rocks Concert Series will continue on Friday. KUOO’s Becky Thoreson has details:
The Iowa Rock ‘n Roll Music Association will present Xpedition: The Nation’s Premiere Tribute to Journey, Foreigner, Kansas and Styx as part of the Okoboji Rocks Concert Series.
Executive Director Clay Norris says, the group strives for the authentic sound of the classic bands. “I understand that their lead singer sings so much like Steve Perry that if you heard their song I think software programs would indicate that must be Steve, you know, like Shazam. They are wonderful and they sing the music of Journey, Kansas, Styx and Foreigner. So, right in the wheel house there of late 70s arena rock into the early 80s. It will be a great rocking show at The Roof Garden Ballroom. Tickets are available on our website through eventbrite, also they’ll be available at the door and The Museum. but they’re selling. So, please come, go ahead an get your tickets. We’d love to see you there.”
The show will start at 7:30 Friday night at The Roof Garden Ballroom.
