A Stretch Of Hwy 9 In Estherville To Be Closed From July 10th Until Sept. 7th; Detour Will Be In Place

(Estherville)– Traffic on a stretch of Highway 9 in Estherville will be detoured beginning at 1:00 pm Monday, July 10th until Thursday, September 7th, weather permitting, as part of an ongoing pavement replacing project.

Officials with the Iowa Department of Transportation say traffic will be detoured around the affected area from east of Emmet County Road N-25 to 1st Street West, utilizing county roads N-22, A-17 and N-32.

Pavement reconstruction is also continuing on a stretch of Highway 4 on the south side of Estherville.
