(Spencer)– A man who was being arrested Monday in Clay county on a Dickinson county warrant for a probation violation now also faces drug charges. The Clay County Sheriff’s Office says 48-year-old Michael Daniels of Dickens was allegedly found to be in possession of drug paraphernalia and methamphetamine as a deputy was arresting him. It was also discovered Daniels had allegedly been driving with a suspended license.
He was booked into the Clay county jail on charges of possession of a controlled substance…methamphetamine…1st offense; driving under suspension, no driver’s license, operation without registration, fraudulent use of registration, no insurance and possession of drug paraphernalia. Bond on the charges was set at $1,000 cash or surety. Bond on the warrant was set at $5,000 cash or surety.
Daniels was later served with a warrant from Palo Alto county charging him with possession of a controlled substance…methamphetamine, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Bond for that warrant was set at $2,000.
