Okoboji Summer Theatre to kick off 65th Season with Let it Be June 27th

(Okoboji)– The Okoboji Summer Theatre will open its 65th season with the production of Let It Be.

Artistic Director Bernard Monroe says, the show features the timeless music of The Beatles:

“Lennon and McCartney defined a generation when they first came out and the definition of that is resonant to today’s audiences and I think it’s going to be absolutely terrific. It really takes the array of their whole body of work from their first time in ’64 all the way up to when they disbanded in ’70. It really is a huge array of their song book.”

Let It Be will open Tuesday night and run through July 2nd. A special talk will be held following Friday night’s show featuring Beatles expert Tim Coffey of The Iowa Rock ‘n Roll Music Association Board of Directors.
