(Arnolds Park)– The Iowa Great Lakes Area Chamber of Commerce is putting out a call for donations for this year’s 4th of July Fireworks Display over West Lake Okoboji. Director of Membership and Events, Kiley Zankowski, says without those funds, the 4th of July tradition wouldn’t be possible…
“We definitely say here in our office big booms cost big bucks and that 4th of July fireworks show has been going on for over 45 years and that is put on specifically by the Iowa Great Lakes Area Chamber of Commerce and our donors. So we definitely live in an area where we’re lucky to be rich in fireworks over the summer, but this show is one that just has put on traditions and memories for families for many years and we’d love to continue it with the help of local donors and those that get to enjoy it. If they have a dollar or, you know, more that they’d be willing to give it would definitely go a long ways.”
She says there is a special incentive for larger donations…
“If you donate over $250, that’s Starburst level and above, you will be listed during the patriotic montage during the show. So it’s a great incentive, great promotion. We also have some promotions going on through our emails, through our socials coming up for those that donate. So definitely some great recognition that you can get or if you just feel like helping to continue this tradition. Definitely a great feel-good thing.”
