(Des Moines)– The state of Iowa is spending one-point-five million dollars to improve rural access to specialty health care.
Centers of Excellence is a healthcare model that provides regional access to specialized care.
The Iowa Department of Health and Human Services is opening up grants to bring two more Centers of Excellence to the state. The funding could bring new providers to the state, remodel current Iowa facilities so they can provide new services, or invest in new technology.
