(Greenville)– Some traffic disruptions were reported earlier today (Wednesday) on a stretch of Highway 71 between 460th Street and 480th Street in Clay county, south of Spencer.
The Clay County Sheriff’s Office says a cement truck accidentally lost some of it’s load late this (Wednesday) morning. Both lanes of the highway were reportedly covered in wet cement for about three quarters of-a-mile.
Motorists were told to stay out of that area as crews worked to clean up the mess. The road was re-opened by early afternoon.
There was reportedly at least one vehicle that was damaged while traveling through the wet cement.
