Trial For NW Iowa Man Accused Of Killing His Mother Has Been Pushed Back

(Primghar)– Trial for a Rock Rapids man accused of killing his mother is being pushed back.

41-year-old Nathaniel Kassel was charged with 1st degree murder in the death of 62-year-old Jody Duskin who’s body was found March 23rd inside her home in Sheldon. Additional charges of operating a vehicle without the owner’s consent and dominion or control of a firearm by a felon have since been dismissed.

Kassel was originally scheduled to go on trial June 20th, however online court documents show that has now been pushed back to August 15th, with a pre trial conference set for June 12th in O’Brien County District Court.
