(Spirit Lake)– The major fundraising event of the year for Dickinson County Trails will be held later this summer. Board member Yvonne Taylor says it will be held Friday, July 21st from 6:00 until 10:00 pm at Maser Monarch Lodge, just west of the Dickinson County Nature Center. She says the evening will feature food catered by Back Alley Barbecue, beverages, and entertainment…
“And then we offer beer and wine as part of your ticket when you come in and we’ll also have soft drinks and water and lemonade and things of that nature. We’ll have music involved. We’re going to do our raffle bags again this year which is actually you just buy the bag and then you just take your chances to what’s in it. And that was really fun last year. We brought that in and we’re going to expand on that this year. There will be some silent auction items but very minimal, and we’re just kind of hoping that people will buy in with sponsorships and come and enjoy the evening. Over at the Nature Center and at Monarch, that trail that goes right through there is a part of the trail system that we’d like people to utilize even more, especially now that Monarch Lodge is there.”
More information on the event, including information on ticket sales, will be available in the near future on the Dickinson County website.
