(Des Moines)– The Iowa State Fair begins in less than 100-days. Work continues on some off-season projects, including one people will notice right inside the Grand Avenue Gate. Iowa State Fair Manager Jeremy Parsons says the public safety building is getting a second level, doubling the space.
Parsons is taking over for Gary Slater [[ SLAY-tur ]] who retired. Parsons spent the last 12 years running the Clay County, Iowa Fair.
The Iowa State Fair is August 10th through the 20th.
