(Estherville)– The Estherville City Council voted unanimously Monday evening to fill an upcoming vacancy by appointment in place of holding a special election. Brandon Carlin will be resigning from his at-large position at the end of the month.
Carlin says he’s moving to a new home that is just outside the city limits of Estherville, prompting his resignation…
Carlin has served on the council eight years.
The council is expected to make the appointment at their first meeting in June. Whoever’s selected will fill the remainder of Carlin’s term.
