(Hull)– A northwest Iowa man has been arrested for violating terms of the Iowa Sex Offender Registry after the administrator of a Facebook page for young girls intercepted a friend request he had allegedly sent.
Authorities in Sioux county say 69-year-old Ronald Bonestroo of Hull was arrested a little after 8:30 am Monday.
Deputies say the administrator of the Facebook page discovered Bonestroo was a registered sex offender after his name was initially added. They say his account was blocked that evening.
The Sioux County Sheriff’s Office says Bonestroo was convicted of attempting commercial sex trafficking in another state back in 2013.
