(Superior)– There were no immediate reports of injuries in a fire Tuesday afternoon northeast of Superior near the Dickinson-Emmet County line.
The Superior Fire Department was called around 3:15 pm to the area of 130th Street and 340th Avenue after getting a report of a field and some grassland on fire. Fire Departments from Estherville and Spirit Lake also responded for mutual aid. Traffic was routed around the area as a precaution.
Officials again remind everyone to use extreme caution if doing any open burning as things have once again dried out. They say the fire danger should ease as things continue to green up, and with rain that is in the forecast Thursday night and Friday.
