(Lakefield, Mn.)– A Lakefield woman has been sentenced to 74 months in prison on a third degree murder charge.
35-year-old Olivia Saddler was charged in January of this year in the case of a woman found unresponsive at a convenience store in Jackson. An investigation revealed Saddler allegedly gave the victim an illegal substance. The victim was taken to a hospital a short time later where she died.
Court documents say Saddler will have to serve at least two-thirds of the sentence before being eligible for release.
An additional charge of fourth degree substance abuse was dismissed as part of a plea arrangement.
