(Spirit Lake)– Dickinson County’s former top prosecutor has pled guilty to a charge of public intoxication. In a written plea, former County Attorney Amy Zenor states she was afflicted by a rare medical condition that causes intoxication without drinking any alcohol.
Zenor was charged after showing up drunk at the courthouse in Spirit Lake on November 10th, 2022. She Zenor resigned a County Attorney following her arrest and voluntarily had her license to practice law in Iowa suspended.
Online court records indicate the plea was negotiated.
