(Spirit Lake)– The Spirit Lake High School Band had some outstanding performances at the IHSMA Solo/Ensemble Contest on March 25th in Spencer. The students prepared 44 entries which earned them 31 Division I Ratings, 12 Division II Ratings, and 1 Division III Rating. In addition, students earned 5 perfect scores and 14 scores that were 1 point below perfect. Junior Zac Fisher, Alto Sax, was selected as the Outstanding Performance in Center 3 and Sophomore Sam Hawkins, Euphonium, was selected as the Outstanding Performance in Center 4.
