ILCC Handbell Choir To Perform In Sioux City & Omaha

March 28, 2023 Steve Schwaller

(Estherville)– The Iowa Lakes Community College Handbell Choir will be going on tour this week. Instrumental Music Professor Carol Ayres says the unique group will be performing in Sioux City and Omaha…

“We normally go to a festival but many of those were cancelled this year. So we decided we were just going to take our group on tour. We will play Thursday, March 30th in Sioux City at Peace Reformed Church and we’ll play with their handbell group. They are just starting so we’ll spend some time with them. It will be very exciting for us and them. It gives us a chance to do a little clinic work and we will play together and we will play separately. And then we’re going on to Omaha and we are working with a group in Omaha and then we will have a concert in Omaha at St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church on Saturday afternoon. It’s going to be a fun little tour. And eventually we’re coming back to play in our area.”
