(Spencer)– The search is on for Clay County Fair Queen candidates.
Females between 16 and 21 by August 9th, 2023, may apply. Candidates must never have been married, cannot be a professional model, cannot represent any other organization, and must reside in Clay county or an adjoining county if the majority of her activities are in Clay county. Applicants must also be a member of at least one service organization.
The Clay County Fair Queen will represent the Clay County Fair at the Flagfest Parade in June, the Iowa State Fair during the queen contest, various celebrations during the summer, and the Clay County Fair.
Applications must be submitted on or before April 10th, 2023. They are available online at claycountyfair.com/get-involved/fair-queen/. Completed applications can be submitted to the Clay County Fair Queen Contest, P.O. Box 527, Spencer, Iowa…51301. They may also be emailed to info@claycountyfair.com.
A committee will select the finalists who will compete for the title on Sunday, April 30th, 2023 at the Clay County Regional Events Center.
