I-90 Pursuit In Jackson County Ends In Arrest Of Two Men

March 03, 2023 Steve Schwaller

(Jackson, Mn.)– Two men were taken into custody following a high speed pursuit Thursday in Jackson county.

KUOO news has learned the chase started on Interstate 90 near Heron Lake a little after 6:30 am and proceeded east on the interstate to just west of Jackson at speeds well in excess of 100 mph. The vehicle then traveled into a ditch and got stuck. The two occupants then got out and took off on foot. They were apprehended a short time later in the area of Black Bridge Road and Springfield Parkway in Jackson.

The Jackson county jail roster shows Demario Brown was booked and charged by the Minnesota State Patrol with fleeing a police officer by means other than a motor vehicle. Navell Morris was booked into jail on the same charge, along with fleeing a police officer in a motor vehicle.

Authorities say charges are pending by authorities in South Dakota as the result of some stolen catalytic converters that were also recovered from the vehicle involved in the pursuit.
