(Estherville)– A traffic stop this past Saturday near Dolliver sent one person to jail on multiple charges.
The Emmet County Sheriff’s Office says a deputy pulled over a vehicle shortly after 9:30 that evening for speeding. A subsequent investigation resulted in the deputy discovering open containers of alcohol, a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia.
The driver, 20-year-old Carter Leiding, was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance…1st offense…marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of alcohol as a person under the legal age. He was also cited for speeding and possession of tobacco products.
A passenger was cited and released for possession of alcohol as a person under the legal age.
