(Spirit Lake)-A fundraiser for The Humane Society will be held on Sunday. KUOO’s Becky Thoreson has details:
The Humane Society of Northwest Iowa will hold their BINGO Fundraiser on Sunday, March 5 at the Dickinson County Expo Center in Spirit Lake.
Shelter Manager Hailey Dirks says the event was previously held during The University of Okoboji Winter Games. “This is the BINGO event that we used to do during Winter Games, but we actually outgrew the facility. So, this is our second year doing it outside of Winter Games. It’s Sunday, March 5th, the doors open at noon. We’re going to have tacos in a bag for a little afternoon snack, and then at 1 o’clock, BINGO will start. It typically runs about 2-1/2 to 3 hours of BINGO. We do have a break in between. You can bring your own daubers, you can purchase daubers there. We also have apparel and we call it, Rescue Swag, that you can buy. You can buy any of our cups our tee shirts, candles, anything like that. We have some pretty neat prizes going, and the grand prize this year is an Apple Watch.”
Proceeds from the event will go to The Humane Society of Northwest Iowa.
