(Spirit Lake)– Dickinson county authorities are advising NO travel overnight tonight (Wednesday into early Thursday).
A statement released a little after 6:30 pm says plows have been pulled for the night and roads will become impassable.
The website 511ia.org had a number of roads in the region listed as impassable already as of late this (Wed.) afternoon, including Highway 9 from the South Dakota border to Spirit Lake; Highway 9 from the intersection with Highway 71 at the Jackson Y to Estherville; Highway 71 from Highway 9 to the Minnesota border; Highway 86 from Highway 71 at Milford to the Minnesota border; Highway 18 between Hartley and Highway 71; and Highway 4 from Highway 9 in Estherville north to the Minnesota border.
