ILCC Experiencing Graduation, Success Rates Above State Averages

(Estherville)– In a news story last week we reported on an increase in enrollment for the Fall 2022 term and Spring 2023 term at Iowa Lakes Community College. Not only are enrollment numbers up, but ILCC President Scott Stokes says they’re also seeing graduation, success and persistence rates that are above state averages…

“We have an excellent team here that, I mean everyone’s goal is to help students who come here achieve their educational goals and so whether it’s our educational counselors, our instructors, advisors, you know, our frontline staff, they get to know the students and they’re there to help them any way they can, whether that’s they can themselves help a student or they know who they can connect them to to get them the help they need.”

Latest available figures show Iowa Lakes Community College has a graduation rate of 45 percent, six percentage points higher than the national average, with 77 percent of students retaining enrollment from fall into spring. The overall success rate of Iowa Lakes students is 57 percent, nearly 10 percent higher than the national average.

Stokes adds Iowa Lakes Community College has a 15 to 1 student-to-faculty ratio. He says that provides unique and personalized exxperiences along with vast access to student support services that help ensure success.
