(Hospers)– A Hartley man was cited after authorities in Sioux county say he was driving a vehicle clocked at more than 100 mph Friday.
The Sioux County Sheriff’s Office says a deputy patrolling a location on Highway 60 near Hospers a little before 6:00 am spotted the vehicle and clocked it at 118 mph.
The deputy pulled over the vehicle, driven by 26-year-old Branden Hengeveld of Hartley. A field sobriety test was administered which came in at .08, just under the legal limit. Hengeveld was taken to the Sioux County Jail where he was charged with reckless driving.
