(Estherville)-It’s time to order your Singing Valentine. KUOO’s Becky Thoreson has details:
The Iowa Lakes Community College Music Department will once again offer Singing Valentines this year.
Vocal Music Professor Brett Fuelberth says, it’s a unique way to celebrate Valentine’s Day. “We have, on Valentine’s Day, both a men’s group and a women’s group go out into the Spirit Lake, Okoboji, Spencer and Estherville areas and we’ll deliver Singing Valentines. They will serenade whoever you want sung to, it can be a loved one, a co-worker, whatever, and we give that person a rose and take a picture with that person so they have something to kind of remember it by, and print that out for them right there and give it them. So, it’s kind of a very unique and memorable way to celebrate Valentine’s Day.”
He notes that anyone interested should contact him soon. “Call my number at the college here, which is 712-362-7963. They can also email me, but calling is probably the easiest. Leave a message for me and I’ll call you back and we’ll get it scheduled. We’ve already got quite a few slots filled up but we have slots open so call soon because we do fill up for the day.”
The cost for a Singing Valentine is $25.
