(Okoboji)-The Okoboji Summer Theatre announced their 65th Season on Saturday during The University of Okoboji Winter Games.
KUOO’s Becky Thoreson has details:
The Okoboji Summer Theatre has announced the lineup of productions for their 65th Season this summer.
Executive Director Ruth Ann Burke says, the season will feature seven shows. “We are opening with Let it Be, The Musical Revue of The Beatles, who, of course, changed a generation and we’re really excited to bring that forward. We have magnificent musical theatre and acting students and, of course, professional guest artists joining us to kick off the season and just launch into our 65th. We’re bringing back four musicals in the seven show main stage season, 2 comedies and a mystery.”
She notes that The Boji Bantam Children’s Theatre will present two shows this summer. “We’re going to be doing a show right after the 4th of July on July 5th, and so that first week it will be The Mother Goose News Hour, and 2 weeks later, on July 19th, we follow that one up with Charlie the No-Good, Really-Rotten, Cheat-A-Saurus Rex. That is going to be a lot of fun and we love to host things over there in the Boji Bantam and have families and the next generation come on in.”
