(Spirit Lake)– Meeting via Zoom because of the weather, the Dickinson County Board of Supervisors today (Tues.) approved the appointment of a new County Attorney. The board voted unanimously to approve appointing Steve Goodlow to the position. Goodlow has been serving in the capacity in an interim capacity and was the only person to apply for the position.
Those opposed to the appointment can file a petition calling for a special election, however there is a deadline that needs to be met for doing that and several other requirements that need to be met.
The administration of the oath of office to Goodlow was postponed to next week’s meeting due to the weather.
