(Arnolds Park)– Drop-offs have once again been established at two locations in the Iowa Great Lakes for natural Christmas trees, wreaths and garland. The sites are located at the parking lot near the Dickinson County Expo Building in Spirit Lake and at the parking lot across from the Maritime Museum in Arnolds Park.
As in the past, the trees will be used in the “burning of the greens” for Winter Games. The Burning of the Greens and Fireworks Extravaganza sponsored by Bank Midwest will be held Saturday, January 28th starting at 6:30 pm at Preservation Plaza at Arnolds Park.
The storage containers for the trees and greenery this year are provided by Diamond Concrete.
