(Estherville)– Iowa Lakes Community College has earned top rankings fromm Intelligent.com, which recently ranked Iowa Lakes as the top community college in Iowa for Best Scholarship options and the sixth-best community college overall.
The ratings are based on research that ranks each institution on a scale from 0 to 100 across six categories. It rates schools on a number of factors including tuition costs, admission, retention and graduation rates, faculty, reputation and student resources. Iowa Lakes Community College received 92.94 points out of the possible 100.
Iowa Lakes awards nearly $765,000 annually in scholarships with more than 150 available. The average student received about $2,000.
Dr. Daniel Lutat, Executive Director of Foundation and Government Affairs at Iowa Lakes Community College says it speaks volumes about the college’s donors as well as the communities, business partners, faculty, staff and alumni at Iowa Lakes.
