(Sibley)– Fire early this (Thurs.) morning destroyed a building on the east side of Sibley.
Sibley firefighters were called around 3:30 am to Bosma Poultry Group and found a building and a truck inside it completely engulfed. Fire departments from Ashton, Little Rock, Sheldon and Ocheyedan also responded for mutual aid.
In addition to the truck, officials say some other equipment in the building also went up in flames. The loss is estimated at between $3 million and $4 million.
It’s believed the fire was the result of an electrical issue with the truck.
Extremely cold temperatures hampered firefighters. One reportedly had to be treated for frostbite while another experienced chest pains.
