Milford Residents Being Reminded Of A Provision In The City’s Snow Removal Ordinance

December 22, 2022 Steve Schwaller

(Milford)– One area city is reminding residents of one of the provisions in its snow removal ordinance. City officials in Milford say it is illegal for anyone in that city to push snow or ice on or across any portion of a street or alleyway per City Code. Violators are subject to a misdemeanor. There is an exception, however, for property owners in the downtown business commercial district. In that area, snow from sidewalks may be placed in the street within 12 hours of the time of a declaration of a snow emergency by city officials. Such notification is available by registering for notifications through the Dickinson County Emergency Management Notification System. You can sign up at dcem.us.
