(Milford)-There’s a blood drive on tap in Milford on Monday. KUOO’s Becky Thoreson has details:
LifeServe Blood Center will hold a Community Blood Drive in Milford on Monday, December 5.
Marketing Coordinator Kyle Charles says, it’s important that people donate at this time of year. “This time of year it’s always really important to remind all of our loyal donors that blood donation is very important with winter weather, flu season and just the holiday season in general, blood donation tends to take a dip and on our donors’ backburner of their mind, and we just want to remind them that our hospital patients are still needing our loyal donors to turn out and roll up their sleeves and donate those precious blood products.”
He adds that it’s best to schedule an appointment. “We definitely prefer scheduled appointments. That’s so we can make sure we’re well prepared on our end for anyone who does come out and donate, but at this time of high need, we’ll take anyone who is able to come out and we’ll definitely try to work them into the schedule. They can make an appointment online at lifeservebloodcenter.org, they will be able to find that blood drive, or they can give us a call at 1-800-287-4903.”
The Milford Community Blood Drive will run from 9:30 am to 2 pm at St. Joseph Catholic Church Monday.
