(Spirit Lake)-Downtown Spirit Lake will light up for the Holidays Saturday night. KUOO’s Becky Thoreson has details:
The Spirit Lake Chamber of Commerce will host the Holiday Window Lighting on Saturday evening in Downtown Spirit Lake.
Chamber Director Regina Reed says, the festivities will get underway at 4:30 Saturday afternoon. “This Saturday, the actual windows will be lit at 5 p.m., but prior to that, from 4:30 to 6:30, Santa and Mrs. Claus are going to join me at Steven’s Block, which is the old YMCA. We’re going to do photos with Santa and his wife. The photos themselves are free, we’re just asking that people bring a non-perishable item so that we can put that toward our Season of Giving donations. We will have hot cocoa downtown. We will have live window scenes, including some adorable Nutcracker dancers from Dawn’s Dance. It’s just a Hallmark kind of downtown event that I think people will love.”
