(Lake Park)– There’s a new face on the Harris-Lake Park School Board. The board Monday evening elected Ebony Rahe (Ray) to the District 1 seat being vacated by the resignation of Doug Stahly, who also served as Board President. Rahe was one of two that expressed interest in the seat. Rahe will fill out the remaining year that is left in Stahly’s term and then could opt to run next November for a full term. Board member Evan Bensley was elected during the annual reorganization meeting to serve as the board’s President.
In other business, the Harris-Lake Park School Board decided to have a work session to decide the process for Superintendent options. Interim Superintendent Les Douma says they will likely consist of either continuing with a part-time person in the position or sharing a Superintendent with a neighboring district. Douma says the board will meet at a date to be determined with consultant Gary Richardson to decide what direction to go.
