Emmet County Sheriff’s Office Has New Tool To Assist Deputies In Low Light Conditions

November 07, 2022 Steve Schwaller

(Estherville)– The Emmet County Sheriff’s Office has a new tool to assist deputies in low-light conditions.

The Emmet County Farm Bureau recently purchased nearly $1,200 in personal safety lights that have emergency red and blue flashing lamps as well as clear lamps that allow them to be used as a hands-free flashlight.

Sheriff Mike Martens says the lights will be worn by deputies to provide high visibility in low light conditions, such as directing traffic.
