(Laurens)– An investigation into a suspicious vehicle this past Saturday in Laurens resulted in the arrest of a man on drug charges.
A press release on the Laurens Police Department’s Facebook page says officers were called to the Casey’s convenience store after getting a report of a vehicle parked at the gas pumps for an extended period with its hood up. Upon arriving an officer found a lone person asleep in the vehicle, identified as Jordan Hawn of Spirit Lake. Hawn told police his vehicle had broken down and that he was waiting for a ride.
While in the process of helping move the vehicle, the officer discovered what’s alleged to be methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia. Hawn was charged with possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia and was booked into jail.
