(Spencer)– A Sioux Rapids man was arrested on drug charges following an incident Wednesday evening in Spencer. The Clay County Sheriff’s Office says a deputy was attempting to make contact with 40-year-old Benjamin Schroeder in the 200 block of West 2nd Street in Spencer when Schroeder fled. He was located a short time later a block away.
Authorities say a search of Schroeder turned up marijuana, methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia. He was booked into jail on charges of interference with official acts, possession of drug paraphernalia, a bicycle lamp violation, possession of a controlled substance…marijuana and possession of a controlled substance…methamphetamine…3rd offense.
The Spencer Police Department assisted in making the arrest.
