(Ocheyedan)– The body of a man was found Wednesday morning near a tractor and grain wagon that were on fire in a field near Ocheyedan.
Osceola County Sheriff Kevin Wollmuth says the Ocheyedan Fire Department was called shortly before 10:30 am to a field on 120th Street, east of Tyler Avenue, and that a man was found deceased a short time later. He’s been identified as 62-year-old Marlin Laverman.
It wasn’t immediately known if Laverman died as the direct result of the fire or of another cause. The Sheriff says an autopsy was scheduled.
