Clay Co. Collision Sends One Person To The Hospital

October 10, 2022 Steve Schwaller

(Spencer)– One person was taken to the hospital following a two-vehicle collision this past Thursday in Clay county.

The Clay County Sheriff’s Office says 37-year-old Rebecca Worshek of Hull was driving a 2019 Dodge Durango southbound in the 3400 mile of 240th Avenue and that a 17-year-old juvenile female was driving a 2005 Nissan northbound. Deputies say the juvenile then attempted to turn west onto 350th Street, and the two vehicles collided.

The juvenile female was taken to Spencer Hospital; Worshek complained of pain but didn’t seek immediate treatment.

The juvenile was cited for failure to yield.

Both vehicles were totaled. Damage to a lighted stop sign was estimated at $2,500.
