(Lake Park)– No injuries were reported in a barn fire late Sunday afternoon north of Lake Park, just north of the Iowa/Minnesota border in Jackson county.
Initial reports from the scene indicated the barn was completely engulfed when crews arrived. Fire departments from Spirit Lake, Lakefield and Round Lake also responded for assistance in hauling water and manpower. They were on the scene a couple of hours. Other details weren’t immediately available.
KUOO news has learned the fire re-kindled early this (Mon.) morning and firefighters were called back to that location a little after 6:00 am. There was some concern over the possibility of the fire spreading to a nearby cornfield. We hope to have more information later today (Mon.)
