(Undated)– Flood warnings continue on area rivers until further notice.
Moderate flooding is being reported upstream on the West Fork of the Des Moines River at Windom, Minnesota. The stage there this (Friday) morning was at 21 feet. Flood stage is 19 feet.
Moderate flooding is also occuring at Jackson, where the river stood at 12.6 feet this (Friday) morning. It’s expected to crest near 13.4 feet by Monday.
In Estherville, the West Fork of the Des Moines was measured at 11.3 feet and was holding steady this (Friday) morning. A crest of 12.1 feet is expected Sunday morning in Estherville.
At Emmetsburg the river stood at 11.6 feet and was rising this (Friday) morning. Flood stage is seven feet. A crest of 12.3 feet is expected Sunday.
On the Little Sioux River near Milford the stage was 16.4 feet this (Friday) morning, down from 16.6 feet from Thursday and 16.65 feet on Wednesday. A slow fall is expected.
At Spencer the Little Sioux this (Friday) morning stood at 14.9 feet. Flood stage is 10 feet. The river has crested in Spencer and is expected to fall to 14.3 feet by 7:00 a.m. Saturday.
At Linn Grove the Little Sioux was measured at 22.3 feet this (Friday) morning. Flood stage is 18.0 feet. It’s expected to drop to 22.0 feet by 7:00 a.m. Saturday.
The Ocheyedan River near Spencer stood at 10.2 feet this (Friday) morning. Flood stage is 8.0 feet.
