(Milford)– The Okoboji High School Jazz Choir placed fifth in class 2A competition Thursday at the Coyote Jazz Festival at the University of South Dakota in Vermillion. The Spirit Lake Vocal Jazz Ensemble placed third out of 10 groups in their class.
The Okoboji High School jazz band finished first in class 2A at the event; Sibley-Ocheyedan was second.
Okoboji and Spirit Lake will perform at the Iowa Jazz Championships April 13th the Des Moines Convention Center.
It will be Okoboji’s 16th consecutive appearance at the event.
