(Storm Lake)– Several regional economic development groups are teaming up to offer an export workshop later this month at Buena Vista University in Storm Lake.
The event will be held Wednesday, April 21st from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and is open to interested persons throughout the region.
Guest speakers will discuss their exporting experience and steps taken to achieve success along with factors affecting global trade, available state and federal assistance and the benefits of legal advice.
The session is being made possible by the Iowa Lakes Development Corporation, Northwest Iowa Development, Mid Iowa Growth Partnership and Western Iowa Advantage, in collaboration with the Iowa Department of Economic Development.
The 2009 Global Iowa Export Award will also be presented to one business within each region by respective regional legislators.
The workshop will include a panel discussion and networking opportunities, along with a question-and-answer session.
Registration will begin at 9:00 a.m. April 21st with the workshop beginning at 10:00 a.m.
