3 Republicans To Vye For District 1 Seat On Dickinson Co. Board Of Supervisors

November 23, 2014

(Spirit Lake)– Three people will square off in the June 8th primary election for the republican nomination for the first district seat on the Dickinson county board of supervisors.

That position is currently held by long time incumbent Wayne Northey, who is not seeking re-election.

Robert “Bob” Cousins of Lake Park, William Leupold of rural Spirit Lake and Gilbert Zahren of Lake Park are seeking the republican nomination.

Ken Eckerman of Spirit Lake is the only democrat that’s filed.

Also up for election this fall is the seat representing district two on the board of supervisors, currently held by republican Marty Allen, who is seeking another term. She faces opposition from democratic challenger Mike Koppert of Arnolds Park.

Incumbent Paul Johnson of Okoboji is seeking re-election to his district three seat. He was the only one to file.
