(Arnolds Park)– A few tense moments this afternoon at a cabin in Arnolds Park.
The Arnolds Park-Okoboji Fire Department was called to 255 Lakeshore Drive around 3:30. Fire Chief Steve Dulin tells KUOO news an L-P gas tank with a weak valve on it overheated…causing the valve to blow off. The 250-gallon tank spewed it contents into the air.
There were no explosions and no injuries were reported. Dulin says the fire department cooled the tank down by spraying water on it.
The leaking, hissing tank was discovered by a person who was renting the cabin.
The fire department was at the scene for about an hour this afternoon.
