Estherville Liquor Store Robbed

November 23, 2014

(Estherville)– Authorities in Estherville are investigating an armed robbery of the Regal Liquor Store.

Authorities say they received a report shortly before noon yesterday of a caucasian male that entered the store and robbed the clerk at knifepoint of an undisclosed amount of cash and fled. No injuries were reported.

The man is described as having a tall, thin build…wearing a blue shirt with vertical white stripes and a disguise.

It’s believed the subject made his way to a vehicle and left the area.

Estherville police are contacting witnesses as their investigation continues. Anyone who may have been in the vicinity of the store around noon yesterday and observed anything suspicious is asked to contact the Estherville Police Department as soon as possible.

The Estherville Police Department was assisted at the scene by the Emmet County Sheriff’s Office, Iowa State Patrol and Iowa Department of Transportation.
