Garage To Be Remodeled Into Exercise Area For Dickinson County Inmates

November 23, 2014

(Spirit Lake)– It could cost as much as 2,500-dollars to convert a garage or sallyport beneath the sheriff’s office into an exercise area for Dickinson county jail inmates.

The Dickinson county board of supervisors directed sheriff Greg Baloun earlier this week to proceed with the project.

The jail was sited in a recent inspection for not having an adequate exercise area for its inmates.

The project will include securing some electric and mechanical panels so they aren’t accessible to inmates.
